CARP National Office Mourns Loss of Long Serving Volunteer

CARP is saddened to announce the death of long-time friend and advocate in our National Office, Mr. Ian Downie.

Ian was a long time volunteer with CARP and his efforts touched a great deal of people in his very active and engaged retirement. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Ian was always passionate about treating hearing loss, as it affected his own family. As a direct result of his efforts, thousands of our members benefited from CARP’s hearing aid battery program, administered by Ian.

More recently Ian was working on a new ZoomerFit program for CARP Chapters and he came in regularly to volunteer his time in its planning.

There will be an obituary in the Toronto Star.

Sincere condolences to the Downie family, from all of us at CARP.
