With the Halton Chapter Membership Action Plan highlighting the need to hold Membership Meetings across Halton, we are launching the 2009-2010 Chapter campaign on Tuesday, September 9, 2009 at the Milton Seniors Activity Centre from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The Centre is located at 500 Child’s Drive in Milton (Ontario Street and Child’s Drive just south of Main Street), call 905-875-1681 for any further information about the Milton Seniors Activity Centre.

Special thanks to CARP Halton Chapter member Christine McLeod (Milton resident) for leading the planning and organizing team to arrange the meeting in Milton.

We welcome a new Chapter supporter/sponsor Seniors Homecare by Angels, Jason Boelhouwer who graciously stepped up to offer his support and participation at the Sept. 9th meeting. Please make it a point to talk to Jason and visit his display at the meeting.

Ontario Energy Board and Milton Hydro will provide more insight to the introduction of ‘smart meters’ and more that will help with energy conservation. They also will have a display for further information and to answer your questions.

We are inviting a member of the Milton Town Council, including the Mayor to come and offer greetings and maybe even participate in our evening activities.

With our Chapter looking to gaining more interest, we need YOU to help with the launch of a new Halton Chapter specific information brochure. A DRAFT copy of a new brochure will be available for your review and much needed comment. We will also welcome any additional questions about your Chapter.

So please make very effort to join in on September 9th to support our Chapter in Milton and invite a guest or two to join you. Of course, we would love a ‘standing room’ only crowd!
