CARP Attends Question Period: Will the Minister Reinstate Cut-off Grandparents?

The tribunal ruling stating that a “large and liberal interpretation” should be used in interpreting who qualified for Temporary Care Assistance. On February 22nd CARP and Pro-Bono attended question period where Paul Miller (NDP – Hamilton East – Stoney Creek) asked the Minister if in light of this she would re-instate the benefits of grandparents who had been cut-off. Her response was that each grandparent who had been cut-off would also had to go through the long and arduous appeal process in order to be re-instated.
