Great Wine for a Great Cause Keeping Children in Touch with the Living World
Your Board of Directors is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership between Summerhill Pyramid Winery and Robert Bateman’s ‘Get to Know’ Foundation. It is a well known fact that a glass of wine is a positive benefit to life. This new partnership will make it a little easier cost-wise for members to embrace this philosophy and at the same time ‘pass-something-on’ to another great cause founded by world renown Canadian artist Robert Bateman, the Get to Know Project.
The Summerhill Vineyard comprises over 80 acres of which approximately 50 are planted (20 acres are given over to wetland and nature habitat). Summerhill is the largest certified organic winery, as well as the most visited winery, in Canada. Vines grown here in the central part of the valley produce intensely flavoured ripe grapes with mouth-watering acidity. Wine-lovers can pick and choose from a great selection of reds, whites, plus rose and sparkling wines, all organically grown and cellared with no herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers in the soil – a wine truly in harmony with nature. Mention CARP Okanagan Valley BC and you will receive a 10% discount on any of the Robert Bateman “Get to Know” Organic Wine Series, and $1 will go to support your CARP Okanagan Valley Chapter. A further $1 will go to support the Robert Bateman ‘Get to Know’ Program. To receive the discount, enter CARPBX4 at checkout, or order online.
