North Fraser

Welcome to the North Fraser CARP chapter.

At a public meeting May 25th in Coquitlam featuring Susan Eng, CARP Vice President Advocacy, CARP members attending expressed a strong interest in having a local chapter. A committed group of people came forward to volunteer their services to help launch a new CARP Chapter.

We’re pleased to announce the successful launch of the North Fraser Chapter serving CARP members in Anmore, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody. We have formed a very capable Board of Directors to serve until our first annual meeting of members next year.

The new Board, chaired by Bruce Bird, who served as Chair of the Fraser Valley/White Rock Chapter for over five years, has been hard at work planning on how best to serve local CARP members. We are committed to local advocacy in the various communities represented, will provide outstanding speakers for public meetings of Carp members, and hope to develop in conjunction with CARP National Office, local member benefits to supplement those offered nationally.

We welcome CARP members interested in being part of this exciting beginning of our new Chapter. We especially need people from Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows and New estminster.

If you would like to volunteer, or if you have a particular local issue you would like us to address, or if you would like more information about North Fraser Chapter, please contact Bruce Bird at 778-284-1189, email [email protected].

Stay tuned for more developments.
