CARP Calgary Chapter: Message from the New Chair

Welcome to your new board here at the Calgary Chapter for the Canadian Association of Retired Persons. I am so privileged to advocate for all of your needs as we move together into the most significant stage of our lives.

I truly believe that Canada is an exemplary nation when it comes to our values in caring for our loved ones. Our seniors and boomers have contributed immensely to help Canada earn this respect around the world, and we reap the benefits of this daily. So what can we do to ensure that same respect and dedication is given back to the aging population as they need it?

That’s the fundamental question I will use as I approach the next year in advocacy for the members of CARP Calgary. My intention is to ensure that the bridge between Canada’s expenditure on Seniors issues and the needs of our population is properly built. I want CARP members to know exactly which benefits are available and how best to use them to navigate this journey. We have a great support system in our government and I intend to ensure it is showcased and used effectively.

We hope that you will voice your needs so that we can make sure you have an experience that optimizes the quality of life of you and your families. Then we know we can take on the task of showing Canadians how they can have the same experience. With that in mind, please send any feedback to carpcalgary@gmail.com, we would love to hear it!
