Caregivers: Input needed for Survey

Do you provide non-medical care for someone 65+? CARP and SERC need your input for an important survey.

Dear CARP Member,

CARP is working with the Sheridan Elder Research Centre (SERC) at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario.  SERC undertakes research and projects aimed at understanding and supporting ways to enhance the quality of life for older Canadians and those who provide support.

This survey has been developed by SERC as part of their research to determine the needs and interests of individuals who provide care for older persons.

Some examples of non-medical support might be:

‐ Managing finances and bills;
‐ Help in the home (e.g. cleaning, cooking)
‐ Social Support (e.g. one-on-one visits, outings)
‐ Transportation (e.g. appointments, errands)
‐ Shopping (e.g. food, clothing, drugstore items)

On behalf of CARP I encourage you to participate in this short survey.  It will help SERC assess the potential for communications technologies to assist support providers.

Sincerely,

Ross Mayot
