WHAT:
National Seniors Day was instituted by the Federal Government in 2011 to “pay tribute to the seniors who have helped build our country and continue to make valuable contributions to Canadian communities, workplaces and society.”
CARP – the 300,000-member advocacy association that works to promote and protect the interests, rights and quality of life for Canadians as they age – will raise their flag at Toronto City Hall to celebrate National Seniors Day.
WHERE: Podium flagpole, Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St. W.
WHEN: Monday, October 1 at 12noon. The public is invited to attend.
