Victoria Chapter: Conversation Café Update

Conversation Café March 10, 2105

Our second Conversation Café was held in the Library at Ross Place from 2 – 3:30 p.m., with seven people in attendance. The main discussion was about the false impression that Seniors are a drain on the economy and are putting the Generation X’er at a disadvantage. Several suggestions were made to combat these notions, including contacting the BC CARP representative to see where other chapters stand on these issues, questioning the Seniors’ Ministry regarding their position on the topic, and discussing it with other Seniors’ organizations. We are in the process of developing an advocacy committee that can take up these issues. We are also developing a list of BC media outlets to send letters to. The next conversation café will be held on Tuesday, April 14th at 2 PM, in the Library at Ross Place, 2638 Ross Lane. Everyone is welcome.
