The Almonte Augusta Street Park July potluck picnic program continues on Wednesday nights in 2015. CARP Lanark County Chapter 55 will sponsor Wednesday, July 15^th. The organizing committee’s main focus this year is to make the park age-friendly with wheelchair accessibility. This event is part of the Friends of Augusta Street Park 5 Wednesdays in July free music series. Please arrive at 5:30 PM for supper at 6. Remember to bring a lawn chair, picnic plate, cup, and cutlery and some of your favourite summertime food. Entertainment starts at 6 PM with Foolish Heart playing until 7 followed by the Jimmy Tri Tone Band until 8:30.
This is a great opportunity for people to get together in their community and to enjoy a meal together while meeting new people and supporting the work being done at the park by people in the community.
There are raised (and not raised) garden beds for growing vegetables, a bridge for easier accessibility, and play structures for the kids to entertain themselves. Come on out and see what is happening!
