In collaboration with the National Association of Federal Retirees and the Central Okanagan Retired Teachers’ Association, your Okanagan Valley Chapter #30 is hosting an All Candidates Forum with details as follows:

DATE/TIME: Tuesday, September 29, 2015 6:30-9:00pm

LOCATION: Rotary Centre for the Arts – 421 Cawston Avenue, Kelowna, BC

RIDINGS: Kelowna-Lake Country and Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola.

DESCRIPTION: This forum will focus primarily on seniors’ issues at the federal level, featuring questions in areas such as healthcare (e.g. pharamacare, end-of-life), pensions and retirement security, social issues, and concerns for the future for our children and grandchildren (e.g. daycare funding, climate change).

FORMAT: All candidates will be given 2 minutes for an opening statement. Candidates will subsequently be given 2 minutes to respond to pre-selected questions (candidates may respond as a team or elect to have one representative answer). Questions for this segment will be pre-circulated.

After a short intermission, written questions submitted by the audience will be asked. Candidates will be allocated 2 minutes to respond.

At the conclusion of this Q & A, a general meet-n-greet allowing audience members to interact with individual candidates will be facilitated.
