Eng speaks about CARP’s Annual General Meeting and post election discussions, and notes that Justin Trudeau made a campaign stop at CARP’s headquarters in September, 2015 and made promises that were in alignment with CARP’s asks. A segment from Trudeau’s speech made before CARP members was shortly used in an ad featuring Hazel McCallion that received significant air time and media buzz. Eng also speaks about having to previously worked with some of the newly appointed Cabinet Ministers, in particular John McCallum and Bill Morneau on the pension file.
