On November 5th, France Gelinas, NDP MPP (Nickel Belt) introduced the Family Caregiver Day Act in the Ontario legislature.

Family Caregiver Day will take place the first Tuesday in April in honour of the 2.6 million caregivers currently in Ontario.

CARP welcomes the  announcement which serves to reinforce the message of CARP’s Caregiver Campaign  to fight for increased financial supports for caregivers in Canada.

We need to take care of our caregivers.
