Vote Pension Protection by March 18

The Liberal Party of Canada is having its National Convention in Halifax from April 18-22, 2018. This year, the party is looking to its supporters to help decide which issues should be included in their 2019 election platform. If you support better protection for pensioners, please click here to register and vote for resolution #7 for an Employee Pension Protection Strategy. You can use all your votes to support this resolution if you wish.

CARP has been advocating for legislative protection since last year when Sears Canada paid its executives millions while walking away from underfunded pension commitments. Unfortunately, Sears pensioners were not the first to suffer cuts under current legislation but with your votes today – they could be the last!

Deadline: Vote by March 18 and results will be published on March 26. The top 30 resolutions will be debated and voted on at the meeting in April, where they must be passed in order to become Party policy.
