Announcement: CARP Annual General Meeting

Greetings and I hope that the remainder of 2014 is more senior’s friendly than the beginning.

Reminder: The Annual General Meeting of the St. John’s-Avalon Chapter of CARP will take place in the main floor meeting room at Tiffany Village, 50 Tiffany Lane on Thursday, January 30, 2014, 2-4 PM

The guest speaker will be Alison Butler, the Coordinator of Education and Awareness, Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, NL. Alison will speak about the work of the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association with a focus on the difference between hearing loss and deafness. She will offer practical information for the growing number of persons with hearing loss. There will be an opportunity to ask questions.

During the business part of the meeting, the election of twelve members to serve on the Chapter Board of Directors for 2014 will take place. We seek nominees with an interest in serving on the Board and request that if you are interested or just need further information, please let me know as soon as possible at 753-1187 or to [email protected].

Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. In order to finalize details, we need to know how many plan to attend. Please respond by January 27 with you name(s) to [email protected].
