Our Mission declares that CARP is committed to enhancing the quality of life for all Canadians as we age by advocating for social change that will bring financial security, equitable and timely access to health care and freedom from discrimination and ageism.

CARP advocates on an ongoing basis on behalf of a broad range of issues (long-term care facilities, older workers, caregivers, investor protection, frauds and scams and so on)  through diverse means (education, meetings with government, chapter events, budget submissions and more).

Each year, CARP highlights a selection of advocacy priorities.  These priorities are chosen on the basis of their urgency as well as their potential for traction among our members, affiliate organisations or in the current government.
