Janet Gray, Chairperson

Janet Gray is a Money Coach/Financial Planner with Money Coaches Canada and has been the Chair of the Ottawa Chapter of CARP since its start in January 2009. She enjoys learning about aging and also interacting with boomers and seniors in Ottawa. She has lived in Orleans for 34 years and is very active in the community including the Orleans Chamber of Commerce.

Rick Baker, Vice Chairperson

Rick is a retired Senior Executive who has held a number of prominent career positions over a span of 40 years. Most recently as the CEO of the Ottawa RA Centre, General Manager of Glenway Golf & Country Club, Director of Parks and Recreation for the cities of Kanata, Newmarket and Hamilton, and as a Sports and Recreation Consultant with the Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Recreation in Ottawa. Rick has also served as an Associate Professor in Recreation, Sport, Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of Ottawa, Algonquin and George Brown College. In his leisure and volunteer time, Rick serves as a Director on the Canadian Paralympic Committee Board of Directors, President of the Canadian Society of Club Managers Ottawa-Valley Branch and President of the Canadian Society of Association Executives Ottawa-Gatineau Chapter. Rick brings an extensive wealth of experience in governance, leadership and organizational management to the Canadian Association of Retired Persons.

Julie Cregan, Secretary

Julie Cregan has worked in the funeral industry for the past nine years and has been a dedicated employee with Hulse, Playfair and McGarry for the past three years.

Julie grew up in Pembroke, Ontario and is now happy to call her home Orleans, Ontario. She is the secretary for the CARP Ottawa chapter and enjoys her active role with CARP.

Lise Racicot, Treasurer

Lise  is married, a mother of five children and a full time caregiver.  A native of northern Ontario, she moved to Ottawa 21 years ago.  Most of her career has been with the non-profit sector with various organizations such as the Canadian Institute for Child Health, the Child Welfare League of Canada and the United Nations Association of Canada.  Lise has been employed with the Champlain Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) for over 10 years, and currently hold the positions of Stakeholder Engagement and Information Coordinator with the communications department.

Over the years, Lise has been involved in her community with organizations such as Team Ottawa Orleans, the Orléans Health Committee and the Orleans multicultural advisory committee.  She currently holds a position of Director at large with the Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club board of Directors, and previously held the position of treasurer for 3 years.

Mélanie Lefebvre B.Sc.N., R.N,  Member Communications

Mélanie provides national marketing support to the Regal Lifestyle Communities team. Mélanie is a native of Québec. She pursued her studies in Ottawa and received her BA in Nursing from the University of Ottawa. Mélanie developed a strong sense of sales and marketing as Executive Director for several retirement residences and has worked in the senior housing industry for over 12 years. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for how retirement living can improve the lives of seniors and extensive hands on training in the operations of both large and small retirement residences.

Loreto Lamb, Volunteer Co-ordinator

Loreto has worked in the Seniors Retirement industry for over 5 years.  As a communications professional experienced in project management, communications, marketing & networking she is an advocate for seniors in Ottawa.
