ABOUT THE PROGRAMS:

The inaugural 6-session workshop series begins Wednesdays starting April 6 and will focus on Pain Management for patients and caregivers.

Next, we will tackle Parkinson’s Disease Management. The workshops are based on a Stanford University patented model and are designed to empower seniors, and those who care for them, with the knowledge and techniques to manage chronic diseases while maintaining an active and independent lifestyle.

Each session in the Chronic Pain Management Program is 2.5 hours per week and will debunk myths about chronic pain and focus on issues such as balancing activity and rest, muscle relaxation, healthy eating, depression, cognitive symptom management, and creating realistic plans to deal with people’s respective situations.
