Research on Arthritis

Who is this study for?

We are engaging persons living with an inflammatory type of arthritis and auto-immune rheumatic diseases to complete an online survey.

Why is the FlexCAre Research Study being done?

The current way that patients receive healthcare for their inflammatory arthritis (IA) is sometimes outdated, may not meet patients’ needs, and may not efficiently use the limited rheumatology resources and very effective therapies that are now available. As a result, many people may not receive care that is best tailored to their needs and preferences, particularly those facing social inequities. New approaches to delivering follow-up and ongoing care are urgently needed.

What is the goal of this study?

The goal of this FlexCAre survey is to understand what is important to you in your arthritis care and follow-up. This information will help guide the development of new and improved ways to deliver ongoing care for people with inflammatory rheumatic disease.

What does the study involve?

You will first have a phone call with the study team to see if you are eligible for the study. Then, you will complete an online survey about yourself (takes about 25 minutes). The survey will ask you questions about yourself, your experience of having an inflammatory type of arthritis, and ask you a series of hypothetical questions about care delivery models.

What will happen with the results of this survey?

The results of this survey will be used by the FlexCAre study team (includes scientists, clinicians, patients, community and supporting partners) to help design new ways to deliver care for people with inflammatory types of arthritis and inflammatory rheumatic diseases.

Who can participate?

We are looking for people who:

●Are 19 years and up

●Have an inflammatory type of arthritis

●Can complete a survey in English.
