Justin Trudeau, Leader of the Liberal Party, headlined at CARP’s Annual General Meeting in Toronto on October 24, 2014 and hosted a town hall with the leadership of 53 CARP chapters from across the country. Mr. Trudeau announced his position on retirement security – to work with the provinces to increase the CPP and reverse the age eligibility for OAS/GIS back to 65 if elected as prime minister in the upcoming 2015 federal election.
