Since Mark Carney announced his interest in running for the leadership of the Liberal Party, CARP has endeavoured to invite him to our headquarters to meet with our members and share his vision for Canada’s aging population. To date, we have not received a response.
This is our last call to Mr. Carney: come visit CARP and tell our members, before the election, where you stand on the issues that matter most—Old Age Security, the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS), potential home equity taxes, frauds and scams targeting seniors, investments in home care, and vaccine access.
Just yesterday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre visited CARP HQ and outlined his vision for Canada, including commitments that directly impact the lives of older Canadians.
CARP members are engaged, informed, and ready to vote. They deserve to hear from every leader who seeks to shape the future of this country.
Mr. Carney, the door is open. Seniors are listening.
