On Monday, April 21, Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre addressed a packed house of CARP members at our national headquarters in Liberty Village, Toronto. The event was livestreamed across CARP.ca, ZoomerMedia platforms, and broadcast live on Zoomer Radio.

Traditionally, CARP invites federal party leaders vying for the role of Prime Minister to speak directly to our powerful senior voting bloc—and Mr. Poilievre took that opportunity to outline his vision for Canada’s aging population.

From Old Age Security to home care, home equity taxes, and seniors’ safety from fraud and scams, he addressed the issues that matter most to older Canadians.

As a non-partisan advocacy organization, CARP has welcomed leaders from across the political spectrum—Prime Minister Justin Trudeau himself addressed CARP members at the very same venue in 2015 during his first campaign for the country’s top job.
