February 2, 2026
Dear CARP Members and Stakeholders,
I am writing to inform you that CARP’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), originally scheduled for February 26, 2026, will be postponed.
This decision was not made lightly. An unexpected technical issue has delayed the completion of our annual audit. As a result, our audited financial statements will not be ready in time for the scheduled AGM.
Under CARP’s by-laws and the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, members must receive the audited financial statements in advance of the AGM. Proceeding without them would not meet our governance obligations or the standards of transparency that members rightly expect.
For these reasons, the CARP Board of Directors, in consultation with our auditors, RSSM LLP, Chartered Professional Accountants, has determined that postponing the AGM is the responsible and compliant course of action.
What this means for members:
The AGM will be rescheduled once the audit is complete.
We anticipate holding the meeting as soon as practicable and will provide a new date as soon as it is confirmed.
Members will have access to the audited financial statements in advance of the rescheduled AGM, as required.
CARP has taken the necessary steps to address this technical issue. We are working closely with our auditors and applying for the appropriate statutory extension to ensure full compliance with federal requirements.
We recognize the importance of the AGM as a key part of CARP’s governance and accountability to members. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we take the time needed to do this properly.
Thank you for your continued support of CARP.
Sincerely,
Anthony Quinn
President
