Study Description: The current ongoing study aims to investigate the interactions among hearing ability, cognitive abilities and spatial navigation performance. The experimental task involves wearing a head-mounted virtual reality system to walk through a basic virtual park scene. Sometimes you will navigate in silence, and other times you will navigate while also listening to sentences and repeating back words from these sentences.
You would be compensated $20/hour for your time. For every hour exceeding the 2-hour mark, you would be compensated an additional $10/hour.
Study Eligibility: Healthy older adult volunteers aged 65+ ; with or without hearing loss ; with our without memory loss
