CARP Executive Director Moses Znaimer attracts top Canadian talent to executive team

“Product and service selection and creation will be driven by what our members value most – and at a price they could not otherwise get were they not CARP members. The outcome should be a high rate of member satisfaction, more suppliers that want to partner with CARP and strong membership growth across all member segments”. – LARRY SHEFFIT

There is perhaps no one better suited to enhance CARP’s membership benefits then Larry Sheffit, the newly named CARP Vice President for Member Benefits. In his 17 years with the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), Sheffit was instrumental in developing the CAA Ontario’s Loyalty Program and driving membership growth from 400,000 to an impressive 2,000,000 members.

Nationally, CAE’s Swipe Your Card and Save (SYC&S) program offered reciprocal relationships with more than 300 partners including prestigious hotel chains and world class restaurants across Canada. International partners recognizing the SYC&S program included the US, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Australia, South Korea, and multiple European countries. In his new role with CARP, Sheffit will bring his expertise in strategic planning, partnership negotiation, sales, and marketing to build benefits that deliver significant new advantages. CARP members can look forward to enhanced service and preferred rates in areas such as health, lifestyle products and services, financial, legal, and online services, prescription rates, travel, and much more.

COMMUNITY

ROSS MAYOT

“I am delighted and privileged to join the CARP team and to help develop new member programs and strategies that will increase CARP’s importance and value in the lives of the 14 million Canadian Zoomers”. – ROSS MAYOT

As CARP’s new Vice President Community Development, Ross Mayot will work with community groups and leaders to increase membership and the number of CARP chapters nationwide. For the past 30 years, Mayot has been involved in educational media and the cause of lifelong learning with both public and private sector organizations. His work has focused primarily on the development and strategic direction of educational television services including TVOntario; and, in association with Moses Znaimer, ACCESS, Alberta’s provincial educational television service; Canadian Learning Television, Canada’s first and only national educational television service; as well as the licensing and launch of BookTelevision and Court TV Canada. Mayot has also worked with Znaimer to launch and develop the prestigious ideaCity conference, now in its 9th year.

Mayot believes that CARP Chapters can have significant social purpose for Zoomers and their communities. A CARP chapter can be a social outlet, a vehicle for wellness and education, a forum for thought-provoking discourse, professional networking, and a means for members to serve their communities in many ways including volunteerism, membership recruitment and positive social impact activities.
