What results can we expect from this paradigm shift? According to Cravit, “Health care will become increasingly privatized, not as a result of philosophical changes to top-down policy, but as a result of the independent actions of millions of affluent, mobile, demanding individuals who will not sit still for slow, costly and inflexible solutions when their own health and well-being is concerned.” But what about those who are not affluent and mobile? What will this mean for them? Will it improve their lot, or will they be left out?
