Despite the issues raised by CARP and other stakeholders, the spirit of the Bill is noteworthy and will add a layer of regulation where there is little currently. In the coming weeks, the Bill will go through the process of clause-by-clause amendment in the legislature. If the Bill is passed, there will be further opportunity for stakeholder organizations to work with the government in developing care and safety Standards to ensure that the Act delivers on its promises.
