How do we consume polls?

Of course, this can play out two ways – either the NDP momentum continues, and the final polls convince even more people they have “permission” to vote for the social democratic alternative. On the other hand, those Canadians who want change, but not TOO MUCH change, may wake up on Monday morning to see the final polls predicting an NDP majority, in which case an inevitable backlash will occur, and many will switch their vote or not vote at all.

For the NDP, the Royal Wedding is the best media possible, because it keeps the doomsayers off the national media for the critical last week of the campaign. If voters are still thinking of Westminster Abbey and the Kiss On The Balcony on Monday, the NDP may have a chance of taking power before anyone knows it.
