Effective Wed. Jan 7, 2008 , Hugh Cass has stepped down from the chair of the Halton Chapter – CARP, but will remain on the management committee until the chapter AGM in June 2009.

He would like to thank all of you in the National Office that have helped him over the past two years. He also thanks the the current, and past members of the management team, for their support and encouragement over the past two years.

Greg Metrakos, who represented the chapter at the 2008 AGM, has accepted the position of chapter chair.

Greg we wish you every success in the coming years.

We are sorry to announce that Dr. Gordon Atherley, has resigned from the management committee, and from his involvement with CARP’s Advocacy team.. Gordon has accepted a position as the president of a new company, and expects to be doing a lot of travelling in the near future. He is retaining his membership in the chapter.

Also Harry Bowers, our past chair (for 13 years) has moved out of the region, but will try to attend our management committee meetings.

And, the Halton Chapter still needs a Treasurer, and will have 5 persons on the management committee who will have served out their 3 year term of office by next June.
