HALTON HAPPENINGS March 2009

Halton Chapter Invited to Rotary Club April 7th Meeting

Thanks to Lou Pennachetti, who participated in our Chapter Workshop in November, we are invited to present the value of CARP and the Halton Chapter to the Burlington Lakeshore Rotary Club on April 7, 2009. This wonderful opportunityÿshows that the dialogue created by our members is attracting greater community interest in our Chapter. In addition, we value any means to expand our ‘network’ of supporters, partners, and potentially new memberships across Halton.

HAPPENINGS HUMOUR

Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement centre were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says: ‘Slim, I’m 83 years old now and I’m just full of aches and pains. I know you’re about my age. How do you feel?’ Slim says, ‘I feel just like a newborn baby.’ ‘Really!? Like a newborn baby!’ ‘Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants’!
