Congratulations to CARP and all those involved with the launch of the new Pink Chapter.

The Pink Chapter is an innovative way to support people dealing with the challenges of long term care or eldercare, specifically those challenges unique to the LGBT community.

I believe the chapter has the potential to serve as an inclusive and open forum of real use to those who engage with it. As a member of the gay community, I understand the important value of networks like the Pink Chapter to support and assist LGBT Canadians.

I’ve seen remarkable social progress over my 12 years serving in the Canadian parliament. Much work remains to be done. Your efforts and support are essential.

Again, I would like to congratulate CARP on this new venture, and wish the Pink Chapter and all of its future members my very best.
