Nature Conservancy of Canada

The Nature Conservancy of Canada’s Conservation Volunteers program engages people in the protection of Canada’s biodiversity while providing a meaningful, hands-on educational experience in ecologically significant natural areas. Our events are carefully designed to ensure your volunteer time is dedicated to critical conservation action.

NCC’s projects offer a rewarding and informative volunteer experience that accomplishes on-the-ground stewardship goals. By joining an event, you can explore unique habitats, observe rare species and learn from knowledgeable leaders while contributing to important conservation work.

Who we are

The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is a non-profit conservation organization that takes a non-confrontational business-like approach to land conservation and the preservation of biological diversity. Its plan of action involves partnership-building and entering into creative conservation solutions with any individual, corporation, community group, conservation organization or government body that shares its passion. Since 1962, NCC and its supporters have protected over 2 million acres (809,400 hectares) of ecologically significant land nationwide. Visit our website at: www.natureconservancy.ca

At NCC, work is focused on protecting biodiversity values on NCC properties and within defined Natural Areas. Volunteer activities are identified through a science-driven planning process whereby volunteers contribute to high priority stewardship actions.
