There are sure a lot of healthy Zoomers in Richmond!

Your Chapter Chair Jack Mar and myself had the pleasure of participating in Richmond’s Activate! Wellness Fair for 55+ at the Minoru Senior’s Centre. This is an event which occurs regularly in Richmond, which by the way, is the healthiest community in Canada!

We met so many wonderful people and signed up many new CARP members. Conservative MP for Richmond, Alice Wong, stopped by to say hello and of course, we gave her a CARP brochure!

There were so many fabulous booths from Nurse Next Door to Grandmas for Africa…from the new 211 community directory phone line to Volunteer Richmond. There was a container gardening session and a diabetes cooking class. There was dancing, laughter and incredible energy throughout the Minoru Senior’s Centre!

We are hoping to create a similar Wellness Fair in collaboration with the new Centre for Active Living in White Rock. And we are hoping we can create a new Chapter in Richmond!
