Hi everyone, well we are now in June, and this month is Senior’s month. Take some time to help out a Senior, take someone out for a coffee/tea, for a walk or activity. We sometimes take things for granted and I encourage everyone to do your act of kindness during Senior’s month.

Just some facts to share with you. The government has promised the Elder Care tax credit up to $2000 for taking care of your senior family member. This still has to be passed in parliament but we hope that they will keep their promise.

Did you know that Senior’s now retire with debt, survey news, 17% of people over 65 now retire in debt. So if your sitting in a nice house, you may qualify for the CHIP program, must be 60+, this would be tax free money for you. Call me for further details.

Note: if city workers go on strike, the location will be changed, someone will be at the centre to re-direct you.

Free Event: Hamilton Council on Aging Health Fair for Senior’s. June 30th 11-2 pm, Jackson square food court, 100 King St West. Come visit us, many booths to visit, bring your food donation for the Food Bank.
