Greater Moncton CARP Chapter Hosts Information Session for Seniors

The Honourable Sue Stultz, New Brunswick Minister responsible for Seniors, will be the Special Speaker at an information session on: Saturday, April 30, at 1 PM.

The event will take place at the Lions Community Centre, 473 St. George St., Moncton.

The focus of this will be “Why It’s Great to be a Senior in Greater Moncton”.

The plan is to raise awareness in the community of the many organizations and services who work to improve the lives of our aging citizens.

Come out and learn about the many services and activities available to Zoomers in Greater Moncton.

For more than 25 years, CARP has worked nationally on behalf of Canadians. Now chapters have grown up all across the country so that Canadians have another local voice working to help them.

There are about a thousand CARP members in the Greater Moncton area and the hope is that this number will grow as Chapter #32 takes a more active role in the community.

The organizing team includes former NB CARP reps, Wayne and Barb Harrigan and Louise Gilbert, current chair Peggy and Peter Humby, Nelson Vessey, Jim Gallant, Winston and Diane Cochrane, Les Brown, Anne Marie Dunnett and Rosemary Smith.

This will be a great opportunity to gain information on a variety of Moncton area organizations and to speak with their representatives. CARP provides A New Vision of Aging for Canada.
