Susan Eng, CARP VP of Advocacy on the Current

On April 14th 2011, Susan Eng joined Anna Maria Tremonti on CBC Radio’s “The Current”. “We took calls from listeners on the question: “What’s it like growing older in Canada?” The answers were not entirely surprising. People from coast to coast had trouble making ends meet. They didn’t get the care they needed from the hospitals and wanted help navigating the system. People were ready to share personal and difficult details of their lives. Yet they were not asking for help for themselves – they just gave examples of what needs to change. This is what the politicians need to hear. Real people with real problems – glib answers are not enough!”
