Over 100 CARP members, interested Zoomers and local politicians and dignitaries attended the first public meeting of the new Montreal – Metro West (Chapter 37) CARP Chapter.

The interim Chair of the new Chapter, Paul Reisman, had been getting emails and phone calls all week, after his appearance on CJAD, announcements in local papers, and a robo-call to members in the area..and suspected he would have a full house.

His suspicions were proven true, as the meeting room of the Baie -D’Urfé Curling Club was close to capacity.

Attendees were introduced to the volunteer team of board members who have brought the chapter to life and discussed the direction and role that the chapter can take in the communities of the West Island of Montreal.

Reisman felt there was a hunger for engagement among CARP members in Quebec, and is certain that the Chapter will flourish and become a true resource for members as word about the group spreads.
