March Community Meetings "Are You Still Hip? in Review

Information posted April 5, 2013

For our March community meetings in both Milton and Burlington our theme was

“Are You Still Hip?”

We invited Chiropractic and Physiotherapy practitioners from the Work-Fit Total Therapy Centre from Halton Healthcare Services to talk about this important subject with a focus on hip and knee joints and how the spine plays a major part in bodily movements. Their excellent presentation covered:

  • The anatomy of hips and knees and discussed how to identify early signs and symptoms of Osteoarthritis.
  • “Referred” pain patterns from the spine that can replicate hip and knee pain and  how to distinguish signs and symptoms to ensure appropriate treatment.
  • Alternative and Medical non-invasive treatments that will encourage and maintain natural healthy joints.

For anyone who would like to be reminded of this excellent presentation Halton Healthcare Services have very kindly agreed to make it available to our members. If you would like to see the presentation please CLICK HERE

Participation at our Milton meetings is gradually increasing with approximately 40 people enjoying our March meeting. We hope to see more of our members and their friends joining us at Milton in the coming months. At Burlington we had over 100 participants.
