Tickets are now available, see below for details, for our 20th Anniversary celebrations on June 25th which will be headlined by Peter Appleyard. Tickets are very reasonably priced at $15 for advance purchases or $20 at the door.

For those of you who may be wondering when we will be holding our AGM this will be held this year in September. We will announce more details about our AGM as they become available.

Peter Appleyard is one of the most recognizable Canadian names in music, he is truly a National Treasure. He is an Officer of the Order of Canada and is acclaimed worldwide as a jazz musician. He is a long-time Halton resident and an active community supporter.

CARP Halton Chapter is pleased that the legendary Peter Appleyard will highlight the celebration of our 20^th anniversary leading Halton Region in CARP’s New Vision for Aging in Canada.

Join us on Tuesday June 25, 2013 in the Founders Room at The Crosssroads Centre, 1295 North Service Rd, Burlington, see directions below, to experience a guaranteed night to remember as Peter Appleyard matches his worldly music experience with his on-stage humour.

You will also enjoy memorable celebratory refreshments, engage with many of CARP Halton Chapter’s business supporters, meet your Halton Chapter volunteers, and socialize with Chapter members and your peers in the community.

Professional Audio Engineer Roger Lapworth has generously offered his experience and equipment to augment the sound experience of the performance.

The Founders Room at The Crossroads Centre is beautifully appointed and offers a lighting and acoustical ambiance to match the caliber of our celebrated performer and his instrumental ensemble. The room is large enough to comfortably seat an audience of 400 and to provide ample room for sponsors’ exhibit tables and refreshment tables.

Refreshments will be provided by Chartwell Classic, Oakville. Additionally, the facility is easily accessible, with lots of parking.

CARP Halton Chapter is part of a National non-profit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for Seniors as they age. Our vision is to thrive in a society that allows Halton residents to live active, independent, purposeful lives as they age in Halton Region.

CARP has evolved to take the lead in inspiring Canadians over the age of 45. As Boomers became Zoomers, CARP was there to address and champion the aspirations of our “Respected” members. CARP Halton was the third chapter to take this mission to the community. We are proud of the “Respect” we have achieved. Our membership continues to grow because of the “reputation” we have gained to deliver a value-added proposition. The “remarkable” Peter Appleyard is the “right” person to join us in celebrating our 20 years of service to Halton Region as we look forward to many more years to come.
