CARP Edmonton Introduces New Chapter Chair

September 20, 2015

CARP Edmonton is pleased to introduce F.W. [Rick] Brick as our new Chapter Chair.

Rick retired in 2014 from his role as the Executive Director of Human Resources for the Alberta Government’s Department of Health. He has been employed in the Human Resource function for over 30 years and has served as an HR Director in all three levels of government.

He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration [specializing in Human Resource Management] and is certified as an HR professional by the HR Institute of Alberta, the Society of HRM, the HR Certification Institute, and the International Personnel Management Association-Canada. Additionally, he holds certification as a Project Management Professional and in administering various psychometric instruments. He is a former President of IPMA-Canada, and is currently a faculty member of both the University of Alberta’s and Grant MacEwan University’s Schools of Business.

Rick brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to CARP, and especially to the Edmonton Chapter. We look forward to positive growth and development of the Chapter under Rick’s leadership.

Rick’s Message:

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the confidence the Board placed in me by electing me to the role of the Chair of the Edmonton Chapter. Given the excellent work done by Bernice Rempel, (the former Chair), as well as the other members of our Board, this organization has a well-deserved reputation for furnishing strong support to our members in the areas of advocacy, benefits and community.   My goal will be to continue and, by working with the superb Board we have, enhance the services we provide to our members and contribute a strong voice in the Edmonton area for issues affecting seniors and the need to provide “A New Vision of Aging.”
