Ontario promises to review broken long-term care system

Ontario’s Minister of Long-term Care has promised to review the long-term care system in Ontario, in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.

With the current count of deaths connected to long-term care topping 80% nationally, CARP is glad to see a promise from government to take a long hard look at a system that was shamefully unprepared to handle the burden of a pandemic.

While critical improvements should have been made long ago, hopefully this signals some much needed, and long overdue, change for our vulnerable seniors.
