C.A.R.P. Annual Meeting Sets Record, Ontario Premier Attends

Feb 12, 2022

The C.A.R.P. annual meeting this year for fiscal 2020-2021 was held yesterday to a record audience of close to 1000 viewers who looked in on Zoom due to the ongoing restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

David Cravit and Bill VanGorder were both re-elected to the C.A.R.P. Board of Directors, for a two-year term and each took time to present on the upcoming plans for the association. VanGorder gave a brief report on operations and announced the outline of the 2022 C.A.R.P. Advocacy platform, while Cravit provided an update on the membership numbers, which showed a sizeable gain in the year and shared some of the marketing initiatives that will be coming out through the rest of the fiscal year.

ZoomerMedia CFO, Terence Chan shared the results contained in the audited financial statements, which are posted on the carp.ca homepage.

Ontario Premier, Hon. Doug Ford, addressed the AGM as the keynote speaker and took pointed questions from C.A.R.P. Chapter Executives on his record with Long Term Care, Home Care and on federal health transfers to the provinces.

C.A.R.P. President, Moses Znaimer gave a thoughtful and insightful overview of our political time in his introduction of Premier Ford, which has since gone ‘viral’ and can be seen here.
