The Canadian Association of Retired Persons – CARP is Canada’s largest advocacy association for older Canadians promoting equitable access to health care, financial security, and freedom from ageism.

CARP is a non-partisan, non-profit association of hundreds of thousands of members, with a community of local chapters from coast to coast representing Canada’s most powerful generation – engaged citizens who believe in action and aren’t shy about exercising influence on public policy.

Membership in CARP comes with valuable benefits, including access to educational and informative webinars and newsletters, and the opportunity to volunteer with a local chapter and participate in social events.

CARP.ca serves as the association’s digital hub, offering a wealth of resources and opportunities designed to empower and inform its members. The website allows members to amplify their voices through online petitions and polls, actively contributing to CARP’s advocacy efforts to combat ageism.

CARP membership support creates major changes in government policies and protects the dignity of Canadians as we age. And thanks to CARP approved and recommended partners, members receive discounts on a wide range of products and services – benefits that enhance the value of membership and provide practical assistance with savings on over 100 everyday products and services they know and love from CARP’s trusted partners.

“Federal and provincial governments need to hear from Canadians on policies and legislation that sooner or later affect us all. CARP ensures that older Canadians’ voices are heard in the corridors of power and that vital political promises are made and kept.” – Moses Znaimer, Chairman of the Board

The Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP) – like CAA – is a highly trusted national not-for-profit organization whose origin story is anchored in advocacy. As a part of our mandate, we not only advocate for the issues facing Canadians as we age, but also provide partnerships, programs and benefits to our members – in all aspects of life. That’s why CARP was very pleased to announce that CAA was selected as our CARP Recommended partner that provides the right insurance for older Canadians.

Our partnership with CAA started first with a conversation about our shared values and belief in always doing the right things for our respective members. While CAA is “Driven by Good”, as Canada’s largest organization that advocates for older Canadians, CARP is steadfast in its commitment to realize a new healthier and dignified vision for ageing. Included in this is not just tackling issues like ageism, access and affordability but in providing a unified voice and making life better for older Canadians.

We mentioned our members many times and it is because it is only through their membership that we can further the work that we do. You can join CARP at any age and know that you are not just supporting work that may impact your life – but the lives of someone you care for and millions of other Canadians.

We are  inviting all CAA members to join CARP and to make a big difference – for just five bucks.
