Exploring Age-Friendly Communities and the Importance of Our Environment

On the 4th of September the IFA in partnership with the Public Health Agency of Canada will convene the Age-Friendly Communities Workshop and at the same time over 90 senior government officials from 31 countries will come together to explore effective models and practice on Ageing-in-Place. It can be of great value to meet with colleagues from other countries and engage in peer discussions, comparing each other’s experiences and perhaps even identifying best practices.

The event will also be the international launch of the much awaited publication; The Rights of Older Persons: Collection of International Documents by Dr. Israel Doron (Haifa University, Israel) and Prof. Kate MeWhinney (Wake Forest University, USA).

The Conference takes place in Montreal from September 4th-7th 2008. For more information and to register please go to www.ageingdesignmontreal.ca and be part of the delegation that creates more than a conference but in effect an interactive platform for your voice and those representing the interests of older people globally.
