Research on Older Adults' Experiences with Remote Blood Pressure Monitoring

The University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus is investigating social factors associated with use and acceptance of remote monitoring for blood pressure control in older adults


Who can participate?

To participate, you must meet ALL of the following criteria:

● Be 65 years of age or older

● Live in Canada

● Have a blood pressure-related condition

● Have at least four weeks of experience using remote blood pressure monitoring

● Use digital technologies such as smartphone, computer, tablet, smartwatch, email, text messaging, or web-based platform to share blood pressure readings

● Be able to communicate in English

● Be able to provide informed consent


What does participation involve?

● One-time semi-structured interview (20-30 minutes)

● Online interview conducted via UBC Zoom

● Interviews will be audio-recorded for accuracy

● Participation requires consent to audio recording


Voluntary participation and confidentiality

Participation is entirely voluntary. You may withdraw at any time without consequences. No identifying information will be included in the research data, and all data will be used for research purposes only.
