CARP Continues to Tackle Ageism

Broadcasting is one of those federally regulated industries that are still permitted to implement mandatory retirement. Telling people that they no longer have a job because they are too old is the definition of age discrimination and the Canadian Human Rights Code continues to allow it. CARP will persist in calling for repeal of section 15[1][c] of the Code. That radio host is closing in on retirement age. Perhaps he’ll call for CARPs help when the time comes.
