CARP Welcomes changes to better protect pensions – it is only a First Step in the Right Direction

CARP has called for a Pension Summit

with all the Finance Ministers working together on comprehensive pension reform to covers all Canadians, not just who those already have pension plans, and knowledgeable representatives of retirees have a seat at the table and/or a meaningful role at the deliberations

“CARP welcomes this as a major first step in the right direction towards retirement security for all Canadians. Given that there is so much else yet to do, we hope it is not the last step in pension reform because the provinces are not included,” added Eng.
