Winnipeg Chapter #53 this year arranged to fly the CARP flag at City Hall in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Nov. 1st. to commemorate Seniors’& Elders Month. Dallas Bagby, the Secretary from Chapter # 53 gave a brief speech. The Acting Deputy Mayor, Grant Nordman, accepted to represent Mayor Sam Katz at the flag raising. Winnipeg consists of two Chapters,# 47, and Chapter # 53. The day before, we were both represented at the Convention Centre where the Manitoba Government hosted the Seniors & Elders Day kickoff, where 800 people gathered to be informed of seniors organizations, and activities, and where a light lunch and entertainment took place.
