The Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP) extends its congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney on his electoral victory.

As you take elected office, we urge your government to prioritize the well-being of Canada’s seniors, who have been instrumental in building our nation’s prosperity.

CARP’s members have highlighted critical areas requiring immediate attention from your new government: safeguarding and enhancing Old Age Security to ensure financial stability; investing in robust home and community health care that allow seniors to age with dignity; implementing stringent measures to protect against the escalating threat of fraud targeting older Canadians; and reforming outdated retirement income regulations to provide greater flexibility and security.

We look foward to connecting with your administration to develop and implement policies that address these concerns effectively.
