CARP and Yee Hong Launch New Partnership in Style

CARP launched its partnership with Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care at this year’s Dragon Ball. The annual benefit regularly attracts more than 1,000 politicians, corporate heavy hitters and celebrities and raises money to support the Yee Hong Centre.

CARP executives Susan Eng, Moses Znaimer, Ross Mayot took thew opportunity to announce the launch of a special working partnership with one of the leading health-care providers in the Chinese-Canadian community.

The program will comprise a series of chronic disease self-management workshops (on Parkinson’s and chronic pain management) led by Yee Hong specialists and provided to CARP members and the community at large.

“Yee Hong is the gold standard in providing culturally appropriate long-term care and community services so we know that the same excellence and professionalism will be made available to our members and their families,” said Susan Eng, CARP’s VP of Advocacy.

From CARP’s point of view, this partnership is important because it provides important support to caregivers while reaching out to an important ethnic community. CARP hopes to open up a similar line of discussion with all cultural groups to discuss what issues matter to them and show them that they matter to us.
